The STORY of The Atlanta Santa Claus Pub Crawl
Legend has it that the idea for the Atlanta Santa Claus Pub Crawl was born when Santa Pete(i.e. the Easter Bunny) was partying with some English rugby players in London. For two shots of Sambuca,
Santa Pete purchased the North American rights to the Santa Claus Pub Crawl.
After a highly successful crawl through the streets of Baltimore and Fells Point, Santa Pete decided to introduce the Crawl to his friends and residents of Atlanta. It started with a number of friends from Clemson University dressing as characters from the most special time of the year…Christmas! We have seen numerous Santas,(male and female), reindeer(mostly female), elves, Christmas trees, frosty the snowman, the three wisemen and 1 crazy bunny participate in this yearly event, to name but a few. Starting with just a handful of friends in 1994, the Crawl has blossemed to over 300 participants this year. Thanks to Budweiser and the many great bars that have allowed the Santas to visit and be merry, 2001 looks to be even crazier. So enjoy the following pictures and start thinking about your costumes and whether you plan on being naughty or nice!!!!

Jolly Santas
In New York, the locals know the holiday season is upon them when the ice skaters come out in force at Rockefeller Plaza. Here in Atlanta it's when you see the SO, or sloshed Santas stumble
through Buckhead. Yes, the fourth annual "Atlanta Santa Claus Pub Crawl" happens once again Saturday night, starting at the Park Bench at 5:30 p.m. The Santas, a group of Clemson University alumni, are scheduled to
hit 10 bars, ending up at the Buckhead Saloon around midnight. "We've never been the last stop before," says the saloon's manager, Scott McCrey. "I'm sure they'll be pretty tanked by the time they get here." So will
McCrey have milk and cookies ready? !'No," McCrey says. "Probably more like pizza and beer."
